2tb storage capacity for new SD Cards
The sd card association shocked every one last week with the release of the latest memory card specification. The new cards will be called SDXC or extended capacity memory cards. The next generation memory cards dramatically increase the size and speed of data transfer and will be available in 2tb sizes. Yes that’s right I said 2tb.
They will allow consumers to store hundreds of high-definition videos, thousands of photos and tens of thousands of music files. The new SDXC 2 terabytes storage cards also increase data transfer read/write times to a whopping 104mb per second increasing to an unbelievable 300mb per second in the following months and years.

Kingston Release New SDHC Video Memory Cards
Kingston SDHC 16gb Memory Cards
Kingston Technology announced the release in the U.S of a new line of video SDHC memory cards specifically designed for use in digital video camcorders. The new SDHC Video memory cards allow increased recording time and are available in the following capacities:
- 4gb – allowing 60 minutes of recording time
- 8gb – allowing 120 minutes of recording
- 16gb – allowing 240 minutes of recording
The release of high definition video camcorders has increased the need for high performance memory cards and this is Kingston answer to that need. The SDHC high definition video cards allow the use the capture their memories in full 1080i or 1080p formats.
